The Evening
A wine-tasting event featuring a selection of Romanian wines and Romanian-style hors d’oeuvres.
The vinters of Romania have a long and proud history of their calling dating to its introduction by the Greeks 3000 years ago. The mild mediterranean climate and fertile Danube Delta was particularly hospitable to grape cultivation. Medieval Saxon colonists later introduced Germanic grape varities to add to the richness of the craft.
Romanians so love their local product that only limited amounts make it to our shores. Don't miss this opportunity to taste for yourself.
As a unique feature, three extraordinary Romanian-born musicians from the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will perform a special program of music to enhance the elegance of the evening.
